Can I have car insurance from California in Maryland?

I spoke to a representative of the car insurance from California and she said that it was fine. And that she had many clients from all over the nation. Does anyone know more about this? Thanks!

Yes, most of them are Nationwide. They are set up with agents from all over the place and when you get quoted they'll find you a local agent next to you based on your zip code, these do it with all major insurers

For auto insurance the most efficient way to get a very good rate is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you choose similar options with the same limits, car make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and can give several quotes on car insurance polices.

But if you live in Maryland--legal address--you'll need a Maryland insurance ID card; California's won't cut it.

If your car is registered in California, your insurance should work in Maryland.

bap32211, There are lots of places where you can get a free insurance quote. http://www.simpleautoquotes.com/Auto-Insurance.html It only takes about 5 minutes to do.

You could try to use google it first, here http://www.Autoinsurancepro.info/auto-insurance-free.htm has some direct information which I think is might be helpful.

Yes.
